Colegiales is special because it is one of the neighborhoods with the highest quality of life in the City of Buenos Aires. Colegiales is a neighborhood where the upper-middle class lives and has many apartment buildings, although houses along tree-lined and cobblestone streets still predominate. The main commercial hub of Colegiales is located along Federico Lacroze Avenue, which is very busy and well-connected given its proximity to the station on the Retiro-Mitre train line.
