Why you should choose Colegiales neighborhood

Colegiales is special because it is one of the neighborhoods with the highest quality of life in the City of Buenos Aires. Some places to visit are the Mercado de Pulgas de Dorrego (Dorrego Flea Market), a large storehouse where you can find all kinds of curiosities in addition to antiques (especially furniture, pieces of art and items from all time periods and styles); there’s also Plaza Mafalda, which pays homage to one of the most important comic strip characters, created by Quino.

Colegiales also has numerous other well-maintained and beautiful squares.

What it's like living in Colegiales

Colegiales is a neighborhood where the upper-middle class lives and has many apartment buildings, although houses along tree-lined and cobblestone streets still predominate. In places where there used to be flour mills, today you can find loft-style buildings, usually used as housing for young adults and offices. The main commercial hub of Colegiales is located along Federico Lacroze Avenue, which is very busy and well-connected given its proximity to the station on the Retiro-Mitre train line.

The best thing about renting in Colegiales is that you share the area with an increasing amount of filming situations since many TV and radio production companies have moved into the area, but at the same time you have a peaceful neighborhood with a high quality of life.
